Listener Driven Radio (LDR) creates social music experiences for listeners around the world. LDR software is revolutionizing radio by combining the power of crowdsourcing with the reach of broadcasting, allowing audiences to take over radio stations using their web browsers and mobile devices. We call it “crowdcasting.”

Senior Web Application Developer
Full-time — Rocky River, OH (Cleveland)
LDR has a team of highly talented software engineers who have built our scalable interactive platform that connects listeners with our AM/FM/Internet radio partners.
Now, we have an opening for a full-time software engineer on our evolving team. Our company and engineering team has been expanding this year, and we are looking for a special person for this new Web Application Developer position.
We are looking for a sharp developer with a deep understanding of current web technologies to help build future products and improve existing ones. Our ideal candidate takes pride in finding elegant solutions to hard problems and writing efficient, understandable code.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain efficient system components (mostly in PHP, lots of flexibility where PHP isn’t required)
- Design, develop and maintain interactive web applications using HTML, CSS, jQuery / Javascript and PHP
- Diagnose and rapidly fix major problems
- Write code that is fast and reliable
Required:
- Strong PHP5 skills.
- Strong MySQL skills.
- HTML5 / CSS3 / Javascript / jQuery.
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented Design Principles.
- Strong UNIX skills.
- Solid communication skills.
- Living in, or willing to re-locate to, the Cleveland area.
Pluses:
- Experience building highly-scalable, interactive web applications.
- Familiarity with high-level database design techniques.
- Experience with Memcached and NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra, etc).
- Experience with MVC frameworks, CakePHP specifically.
- Experience with node.js
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS.
- Distributed version control systems, git specifically.
- Experience building mobile web applications.
- Passion for finding the right solutions to problems, rather than just the fast ones.
- Enjoys learning about new technologies.
- A love of music and/or radio!
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, human relations, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand
- Demonstrated experience in timely problem solving.
- Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully.
- Basic understanding of web technology and interfaces.
- Enjoy learning about new technologies.
- Some Experience with radio station automation systems.
- Demonstrated experience in learning/using radio related systems and software.
- Experience as a webmaster and/or content manager.
- Experience with help desk software and/or support tickets.
- Ability to multitask and meet specific goals set by supervisors and management.

LDR (LDRinteractive.com) has an opening for a SUPPORT ENGINEER on our growing team. Our company, support team, and engineering teams continue to expand this year, and we are looking for a dedicated, hard-working and technically savvy person who takes pride in their work and leads by example for this position.
LDR SUPPORT ENGINEERS work with radio stations to provide outstanding customer support and technical guidance in using the LDR platform. Support Engineers at LDR are strong communicators via telephone and e-mail, working to troubleshoot a variety of technical and non-technical issues that may arise in the process of using LDR.
